  • In my approach, the "mind" encompasses our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Trauma can significantly disrupt our mental landscape, leading to negative thought patterns, emotional dysregulation, and difficulty trusting ourselves and others. DBT provides a framework for understanding and managing these challenges.

By addressing the mind's unique needs in the context of trauma, we create a space for clients to heal, grow, and cultivate a healthier relationship with themselves and their thoughts.

  • From a polyvagal perspective, the body is not just a vessel but an active participant in our emotional and psychological experiences. Trauma can dysregulate the nervous system, leading to chronic states of hypervigilance or shutdown. By incorporating somatic practices like breathwork and grounding techniques, we can help clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and cultivate a sense of safety.

By addressing the body's physiological responses to trauma, we create a solid foundation for emotional and spiritual healing.

  • In my approach, the "spirit" refers to the deepest part of ourselves—our essence, values, and connection to something larger than ourselves. Trauma can fracture this connection, leaving individuals feeling lost, disconnected, and without purpose.

By integrating spiritual practices into therapy, we create space for clients to explore their beliefs, values, and sense of meaning.
